What Victim Services Provides
- Crisis intervention and trauma-informed support at the scene and afterwards
- Case status notifications and court accompaniment / advocacy
- Help filing protective orders and understanding the criminal justice process
- Referrals to counseling, shelter, and financial assistance (Virginia Victims Fund / compensation for medical bills, lost wages, counseling)
- Victim/witness notification program — updates on arrest, court dates, and release of the offender
